Auburn Prison Electric Chair Marble Slab 1920s. Marble insulating tile from electric chair at Auburn prison, early 20 century. The first person to be executed by electric chair, William Kemmler at Auburn prison.
Polychromed inscription: Marble from under Electric Death House Chair after Riot & Fire, July 28th, 1929, Auburn Prison'. Mounted on wood board. 
Originally purchased from the Niagara Falls Museum by Billy Jamieson. This Billy Jamieson collection/lot included the electric chair and other items from the prison.
